About me

I am currently employed as a User Experience Designer at Kohl’s Department Stores, having recently graduated from UW–Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Art. I am also a co-founder and designer at Soarce Technologies, LLC, a start-up web design and hosting firm.

Design has always been a passion of mine, and I’m actively honing my skills in web design and development at my job and with this site. I still make time for several other interests including drawing, traditional and digital painting, 3d modeling and game design. While these fields may seem quite broad, they are all very much interconnected in my mind. At the core of each discipline is a creative process culminating in a user/viewer/player experience, whether that experience is conveyed via a static image, animation, navigation of a website, or level in a video game. Crafting that experience is what I truly enjoy.

About this site

Adamvogel.net serves as my online portfolio, journal, and project log of anything I create relating to design, art, and games. The front end is hand-coded XHTML and CSS, using WordPress as the CMS. Like most sites, it is continually being improved and updated. As I learn more about the inner workings of WordPress, I’ll be revising my theme and making user interface improvements, while maintaining W3C web standards as much as possible. Check back frequently for content and design updates.
